Child Care First Aid

📅 Effective August 31, 2015, all Ontario child care workers will be required to complete Standard First Aid training, including Child and Infant CPR certification. 🏥

📜 In December 2014, the Child Care Modernization Act, 2014 was passed by the Ontario Legislature and received Royal Assent. This new legislation will replace the Day Nurseries Act with the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014. ⚖️

First Aid Training Requirements for Child Care Staff in Ontario
  • 👩‍🏫 Resource Teacher:

    • Must possess a valid certification in Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C. 🏅

    📚 Staff Training and Development:

    • A valid certification in Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C is required. 🩺
The Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C Course
This training level is recognized by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and meets the requirements of this new regulation.
